Chris began cooking in the 3rd grade when he made his first Pumpkin Pie from scratch. Something stirred in him – an appreciation for food. His first food memory was eating take out Chinese Food from the renowned San Francisco China Town when was four years old.
Growing older, family and responsibilities, Chris dabbled with trying and cooking new foods with friends and family. As his passion grew he decided to go to the CIA in Napa for what would now be called a boot camp where he learned basic cooking techniques. That experience changed the direction of his life.
He later volunteered at the CIA during their annual World of Flavors Event where he worked alongside great chefs from around the world and learned so much from them about production, quality of food and the finished product.
Chris decided to try his hand at catering and began CK Catering in 2002. He has catered Company Christmas events, Birthdays, Major Holidays, Anniversaries and weddings.
Recently after moving to an area that has a local farm he tries to cook using locally grown organic food where possible.
Although Chris has a day job, his greatest joy is learning about food and feeding people whether it is a catering job, personal chef or for family and friends.
